Benefit – Bigger & Bolder Brows.

Hi loves! Today I’m gonna review the “Bigger & Bolder Brows” set from Benefit Cosmetics! This set contains some of the new brow products Benefit just released. Shall we take a look together?

Here it is! Benefit has a couple of different box sets, I’ve got the Bigger & Bolder one. Mine is in the shade one, which is the lightest shade. I love the look of the box!

On the back of the box you can see what’s in the box. In this set you’ll get some shaping stencils, Ka-Brow! in shade 1, Ready, Set, Brow! and a High Brow Pencil.

The Product are all in this cute little metal box, which is very special. You can use this cute box to store all kinds of stuff which is so nifty!

You’ll also get an instruction and tips & tricks guide which is super handy as well.

These are the all the products, nicely placed in the little metal box. It looks super fancy if you ask me!

Let’s start with the stencils. You can create 4 different brow looks with these stencils, 2 for straight brows and 2 for arched brows. It also comes with a handle to place the stencils in. You choose the stencil that matches your brows best, place it underneath your brow and match the line to your brow arch, now you can trace the line to get a straight brow.

I tried using this, but I don’t really know what I should think of this. It’s a great idea, but I think I can make a more straight line and quicker without the stencil. Maybe I’m just not used to using a stencil, but it’s just not for me. I guess it would be handy for beginners!

Ka- Brow!

This is a brow pomade with a little brush included. I think this product would be perfect for traveling, because you don’t need to bring an extra brush with you. The weird thing is when I used this product for the first time and the top layer rubbed off, the color looked very different to the top color, much more ashy toned.

I’ve used it with the brush it came with, but in my opinion it is a little too small for my liking, it just takes ages with this brush. When I used it with my own brush it went much better. The pigmentation is also not that amazing, you need to dip in quite a lot. I’ve used it only twice and there is already quite a dent in the product, because you need to use quite a lot to get a nice result. It does stay on all day so that’s a plus! It is a great pomade, but not more special than the ones I already own. I expected a little bit more, especially because it’s so popular.

Ready, Set, Brow!

This is a 24-H invisible shaping and setting gel. It is a clear brow gel. Instead of a bristle brush this one has a comb, one side has shorter bristles and the other side longer ones. So one side is for shaping and the other side it for setting the brows.

First of all the smell it has I don’t really like, I don’t know what it smells like but it’s not very nice. I guess of all the 3 product, this is my least favorite one! I like tinted brow gels more than clear ones. Also I find it a little difficult to use a comb brush. When my brows are all filled in and go over it with this brow gel it removes a lot of the brow color I just put on, which I don’t really like. The gel tends to get hard on your eyebrows, which for me is not the best feeling in the world. So it’s a no for this one, I will keep using my trusty tinted brow gels with a normal bristle brush instead! 🙂

High Brow Pencil.

Next and last product in the set is this creamy highlighting pencil for your brows. This product I love so much, can’t live without it anymore! I never really highlighted my brows because I thought it was unnecessary, but wow, it really changed my life! They look so much sharper and neater with a highlighter.

This brow highlight is slightly pink. It is super creamy, and glides on your skin really easy. It blends also very well, and truly highlights your brows. It looks naturel when blended and stays put all day long. My brows look much cleaner and sharper when I use this highlight. I use this everyday now and really recommend this!

Here I’ve got some swatches on my hand of the High Brow and the Ka-Brow. You see that the High Brow pencil is very creamy and the Ka-Brow is a nice light ashy color.

Here is a before and after of my brows. On the top pictures I have no product on, and on the bottom pictures I’ve used all three products. Such a difference right? I do like how my brows turned out.

That was today’s review, I hope you all like it and I will all see you next time!

The thing with this brand is the packaging is amazing, but the products are so hit or miss. Really want that High Brow pencil now though. A great, thorough post!

I am always so skeptical when it comes to going the bold brow route. I am pretty sure I have seen too many brow fails on Facebook. I’ll have to look more into stencil kits like this one for future use!! Thanks for the review!
