Highlighter – The Balm V.S W7 (Dupe??).

Highlighter – The Balm V.S W7 (Dupe??).

Hello loves! Today I’m gonna show you a possible dupe for the Mary-Lou Manizer from The Balm. The battle between the highlighters, The Balm V.S W7. Who is gonna win?

When I first searched for a highlighter to see if I would like it or not, I found the Glowcomotion from W7. The highlighter was really good, so I wanted more! When I saw that the Mary-Lou Manizer from The Balm was really populair I bought that one as well. When it arrived I looked at it, and it looked so much like the highlighter from W7. I compared them, and they look so similar! Could this be a dupe? We’re gonna find out today!

Here they are! From the outside they look nothing a like. The highlighter from W7 is a tiny bit bigger than the one from The Balm. Although they don’t look very similar from the outside, they definitely do on the inside!

Tadaa! Don’t they look a like? The Glowcomotion from W7 is a tiny bit bigger, but just the color and the mirror is almost identical! They are both a champagne colored highlighters, so that’s the same as well!

Here is a close up of the 2 highlighters together. Isn’t it amazing! The Mary-Lou Manizer is my favorite highlighter, so if the glowcomotion is the same quality, my wallet is definitely gonna love me way more!

I swatched them next to each other to see if they really look a like. In the swatch you can definitely see a difference. Although the colors looked the same in the pan, the swatch says otherwise. The highlighter from the balm is a bit darker than the one from W7. The Balm is more bronze toned and W7 is more golden. We also see a difference in the texture. The shine is the same, but you can see that the Mary-Lou Manizer is much more packed with glitters than the Glowcomotion. Maybe they are not identical, but they are both really pretty, right?

Mary-Lou Manizer from The Balm:

This highlighter is easy to apply, but my experience with this one is that it is a natural highlight. Of course you can layer it for a more intense look, but with just one light application it is quite naturel. It looks also really pretty on the skin, it looks like a natural glow from within. It stays on all day, but in the end of the day it is a bit faded. I don’t like my highlighter that strong, so this highlighter is perfect for me! The Mary-Lou Manizer from The Balm retails for $24.00.

Glowcomotion from W7:

This one is also really easy to apply. This one is a little bit different though. This highlighter is a lot stronger weirdly enough. With a gentle swipe this one glows in the dark! It’s a pretty heavy highlighter, so for a night out, this one would be more appropriate. This one stays strong al day, but in the end of the day I do find that it looks a bit disgusting on the skin. The highlighter from The Balm sits a bit nicer on the skin than this one, but it’s still a pretty nice highlighter. The Glowcomotion from W7 retails for $4.06.

They are maybe not completely the same, but price wise and look wise I really can say that this is a definite dupe! So if you’re looking for an affordable highlighter, W7 is definitely the way to go! I love them both! Which one would you pick?
