Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation.
Today on the blog, a review on the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation! I’ve heard many good things about this foundation, and that it’s a good foundation for dry skin, so I wanted to try! Let’s go on to the review!
Here it is! It looks to me really summer-like. It is a dewy foundation, so I think it would be a nice summer foundation, maybe that’s why it’s looking all orange and summer-ish? I don’t know, but I really like the look of it. I never really tried a Rimmel foundation before, so I’m quite curious about it. This one is the fave foundation for many people, I hope it’s also gonna be mine! 🙂
I really like that it has a pump, that makes life a lot easier, does it! The pump is also a bright orange, the color really makes me happy! I have the lightest color I could find which is; 100 Ivory. On the packaging it says It is skin brightening with Vitamin C, which gives your skin a boost and looks more awake, that’s why this foundation is called “Wake Me Up”. It also has SPF 15 in it, now your good to go in the ow so burning sun! (which on this moment is playing hide ‘n seek…Spring where are you!?).
It was really easy to blend into my skin, but unfortunately even though it’s the lightest shade, it was still a little bit too dark. I applied it with my new Bufferbrush and it went really well, I also wanna try this foundation with my Beauty Blender, maybe it would give the foundation a little bit more glow! When I applied it there was a really fresh smell coming off of the product, so that’s a bonus! The coverage was also very good, I was expecting less coverage, because it’s a natural/dewy foundation, but no the coverage was pretty good! Me happy! The only problem I found with this product that it isn’t actually THAT dewy, so that was a little disappointing! Let’s see the results!
This is how it looks on my face (sorry for the extreme dry skin, it wasn’t really my best “skin” day). Because my skin was quite dry, the foundation didn’t really “help” with that problem, it actually only made it worse, because it caked on my dry patches. Like you can see the dewiness is not really there also. Even though there are a few cons, I still quite like the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation. I can’t say that it’s my favorite, because my fave on the moment is the L’oreal Cushion Foundation, it’s way more dewy and glowy than this one, and less problems with my dry skin because it’s quite moisturizing! But all by all I do like this foundation, I don’t know if I would re-purchase, but who knows!
