Starting Project Pan.

Starting Project Pan.

Hello loves! I’m gonna start Project Pan! I want to finally empty some of my makeup and beauty bits, so project pan it is! I’m gonna tell everything about it and of course about all the products I want empty. Here we go!

I saw this project floating around on the internet, and thought that it was just perfect for me because I desperately want to empty some of my products. Project Pan is basically a project to declutter your makeup/beauty stash, use up your old things and save money. Most people set rules for themselves, but I’m gonna do it a bit differently! Why do I want to do this? I have so many old makeup/beauty bits that I have for years. I want to buy some new ones, but first I want to get rid of my old ones. Throwing away everything is not an option for me, because I think It’s such a waste, so I’m gonna try and empty them as far as possible, and make room for some pretty new stuff.

A few days ago I organized my vanity and discovered so many old things that I don’t really use anymore. Some of the products don’t even sell anymore, that’s how bad it is haha! I will update you guys every month on the progress I’ve made. I don’t set a time period for it, as long as I finish them I’m happy! Let’s take a look at the products I want to empty.

Makeup:

project pan

Maybelline Super Stay 24H Concealer in Light 2.
I don’t really use this concealer really much, It’s a bit too dark and creases on my under eyes. I don’t want to throw it away because I haven’t really used it so I’m gonna try and make it work! This is still half way full, so wish me luck!

NYC Smooth Skin Perfecting Primer.
I really liked this primer, it was my first one ever. It is fairly old and I got a few new ones that I like better so this one needs to go! This one has a quarter left I think!

L’Oreal True Match Foundation in C1 Ivory Rose.
This is also really old and one of my first foundations. It doesn’t really go well with my dry skin, so I like my other ones better. I think this one is half through.

project pan

L’Oreal Infallible 24H Powder Foundation in 123 Warm Vanilla.
This one I really like but I’ve already bought a new one, so I really need to empty this one haha! It’s quite far already so I hope I doesn’t take a long time.

project pan

Essence Silky Touch Blush in 20 Babydoll.
This one is also really old. I have some amazing blushes, but I don’t really reach for this one even though it’s really pretty. In this one there is a little dent, but no pan yet!

project pan

Gerard Brinard Eye Brow Kit.
I don’t really know where I got this one from actually, but this used to be my everyday eyebrow saver! I know I’m not gonna use up the black and white, but I do want to empty the 2 brown ones.

project pan

Catrice Glam & Doll Curl and Volume Mascara.
I love my other Glam & Doll Mascara but this one didn’t really made the cut. It’s really clumpy and I like plastic bristles way more. I don’t really know how much there is left.

Rimmel Volume Colourist Mascara.
I’m sorry Rimmel but I really hate this mascara, it doesn’t do anything for my lashes. This one is fairly new so I don’t want to throw this one away, I think I’ll make the best of it! This one is used just a couple of times, so a long way to go!

Etos Stay Perfect Lash & Brow gel.
I have so many brow gels and this one is really old so I want to get rid of it. I don’t know how much there is left.

project pan

Essence Eyeshadow in 06 Metropolitan.
I have this one as long as I can remember, so it’s time to go. I have so many brown/nude eyeshadows that this one just needs to go.

project pan

Catrice Absolute Nude Palette in 010 All Nude.
My first nude eyeshadow palette, how cute! I have this one for quite some time and I’ve used it a lot! I do want to finish all the colors.

project pan

Essence Quattro in 07 Over The Taupe.
This one is so old, haha! I think I have this one since I started wearing makeup almost! I only hit pan on one color, I don’t know if I’m able to finish the white one, but definitely the darker colors.

project pan

Essence Lipstick in 53 All About Cupcake.
My first ever lipstick I believe! I used this one every single day. They don’t even make this one anymore that’s how old it is. There is only a little bit left, so I can do this!

Beauty:

I don’t really have many beauty products I want to get rid of, but I did find some!

Vichy Normaderm Toner.
I rather avoid toners with alcohol in them, so I haven’t used this a lot. Also I have one from Elizabeth Arden that I really like, but I do want to finish this!

Vichy Normaderm Anti-Imperfections and Hydrating Cream.
My skin is very picky when it comes to face creams, but I haven’t had any weird reactions to this one. I have a lot of face creams that I like at the moment, so this one needs to leave. I think it still has a quarter of product left.

Kruidvat Cleansing Milk for Sensitive skin.
I just picked this one up because I desperately needed a cleanser. This one was the first thing I saw so I bought it, but now I regret it a little. There is nothing wrong with it, but I have so many good cleanser right now that I don’t grab this one very often. It’s half full.

Andrelon Dry Shampoo.
I didn’t know at the time which dry shampoo to go for so I chose this one. I don’t really like it. My hair smells fresh, but not less oily. I really want to buy a new one, a good one, so I need to finish this one! It’s a quarter full.

project pan

Alright that were all my products! I really hope I can empty them. I will do an update post next month, so we’ll see!

I know I need to do this, but throwing away anything leads to “what if”, “what if…I suddenly need dark green eyeshadow?” “What if…I decide pink lipstick actually suits me” lol ok ok I’ll try it! #projectpan

I know I’m so bad at throwing things away! But emptying things give me much more peace than just throwing it away 🙂 and you can always buy a new one right haha! You can do this! X

Its so hard for me to get rid of any makeup. I will definitely be trying this especially before I get new makeup. Great post!

I’m doing a similar challenge called 17by2017. I had to pick 17 products to use by 2017 and finish them. It’s a great little challenge. Good luck with yours

This is such a great idea, I really need to do this but with moisturizers, shampoos, body washes… I have way too many that are 3/4 used up or half because I got excited about a new product and sortof left it for a while

This is a great idea! I was looking for a way to stop myself from buying things and force myself to use the things I have. I think I am going to join you in this project!
